I am so excited you’re here that my down dog peed a little!!

I’m Alicia (she/her) and I help busy women build a complete Yoga practice at home so they can move through daily life appreciating their body and knowing how to best support and soothe their busy brains because Yoga isn’t limited to our time on the mat. 

You want a Yoga practice that you can do on your own time, whether it’s 5am or 3pm but you need more consistency than YouTube can give you. And you want it to be more than just “butts and guts” workouts. You’re looking for something that helps makes daily life run a little smoother with mindfulness reminders and easy peasy breath work you can do while you wash your hands. You want something that helps ease your tight hips, AND makes you sweat AND gives you a life hack for when you begin wondering about the state of the world at 3am. 

As an introverted, go-getter (even thought my husband has been known to throw around the word “intense”) Yogi, i have totally had these struggles myself. I didn’t wanna stress over making the 5 o’clock studio class, especially during the babysitter years, or during a global pandemic (who saw that one coming?!?) but I still wanted a practice that let me connect and listen to a teacher that I trusted. And I wanted a practice that helped me to APPRECIATE my body and not treat it like a renovation project! Yeah, I want strong, reliable abs, but I also wanna eat tacos and be able to bend over without crying about my exhausted hamstrings. And, I wanted to use the aspects of Yoga that helped me with anxiety and impatience without having to take a 7 day retreat. TBH, this is the stuff that I REALLY love every day. It helps me be a better human when I am just THE WORST. And I couldn’t quite find what i wanted so...I BUILT IT!! And holy smokes have I loved when someone sends me a text telling me that they used “the thing” and it helped with insomnia last night!!! YES!!! WINNING!!!

If you’re like me, you’ve probably looked at a studio schedule and compared it to yours and realized you can’t take a live class until 2032. Or you haven’t found the right fit because you want something that isn’t just abs and Lulu. And, unlike random videos, you want something that is fully designed for you. You have made more than enough decisions today thanks! You don’t need Netflix anxiety on top of that. 

I totally get it!  I have gone through ALL of these! I have literally driven through a snow storm to make a yoga class, and then realized a didn’t wanna die and turned around. I have tried to find my place in a studio that cared more about weight loss than loving your body. I have tried to randomly design my own format for something from scratch, but realized I don’t have that kind of brain power left after teaching long division to a small human and wanted someone I trust to take care of it.

I had been craving a online community (where my introverts at??) that gave me bite size pieces of breath work, mindfulness work and meditation with shorter practices that I could ACTUALLY fit into my day on a consistent basis. ....i kept setting the intention for 90 minutes of yoga followed by a 30 minute meditation and some sun rise pranayama (breath work) and then realizing that was just impossible to do in my busy life. When I planned for this and it didn’t happen I felt like a great big fail.

And then I got shingles....AT 33!!! I was utterly exhausted and falling apart. I was diagnosed right before we celebrated Christmas and so instead of a giant meal that year we had spaghetti, and instead of prepping for 300 activities, we got take out and napped. It was glorious!!! I realized that “good enough” is actually good enough!! So, I applied that to my practice. This resulted in 10 min meditations that actually helped....instead of 45 minute ones that got skipped. This meant 30 minutes practices in my living room while my kids played instead of an impossible practice in some impractical space. AND IT WORKED!!!!

I have planned entire family vacay’s around food stops. Not. One. Regret.

I have a sweet bearded dragon named Arthur that was surrender to a pet store and just recently got him to eat from my hands!

We have an old house with a full staircase of 16 stairs which means on Fridays at the Tate Estate we listen to 90’s music while I run stairs. Since i am a reasonable human, everyone else in the house gets to vote on whether they listen to just me sing with earbuds in, or we all listen on a speaker. I am very accommodating! Lol

I LOVE BBC shows where rogue priests solve murder mysteries in towns that end in “shire”. 

And if you want my smarty pants credentials, I have been trained in Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bakti Yoga, Mantra, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness, Yoga for Trauma and Anxiety, and continue to educate myself in different facets of Yoga and Wellness
